The Darth Maul featured on this page was revealed to be a part of the second wave of The Black Series Archive 6-inch action figure collection with little fanfare when it was displayed in Hasbro's booth at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. Hasbro chose to include this figure, which was also available as a show exclusive at the event in Episode I packaging, in their 6-inch greatest hits collection to offer improved paint applications on a sought-after figure. The second wave of figures in The Black Series Archive began reaching collectors in North America in June, 2019.
