The announcement that Star Wars would be released as part of Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition was revealed on StarWars.com on May 5th, 2015, with the news that there would be three Star Wars Play Sets; one set in the timeline of Episodes I-III, the second set during the original trilogy, Episodes IV-VI, and the third, based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which would be available at the end of 2015.
