Carrying an important message from Princess Leia, Artoo joins the Rebel mission aboard a Millennium Falcon inspired base. Built with screen accurate details, a weathered finish and light up features, the feisty blue and white astromech is standing by for a game of holographic chess or to repair a hyperdrive. An essential addition to any Star Wars collection, R2-D2 is the droid you’ve been looking for.

On December 11, 2015, Sideshow Collectibles announced that they would be offering tweaked versions of their previously released C-3PO & R2-D2 Premium Format Figure set. This time out, they would be sold as separate statues. Both of these statues would come on Millennium Falcon interior bases and an improved paint design. They went up for individual pre-order four days later. C-3PO began shipping in May 2016 with R2-D2 following in early June.
