Welcome once again to Rebelscum's annual coverage of the super-galactic San Diego Comic-Con!

Look to this very page for complete Star Wars coverage throughout the show. We're expecting some pretty cool stuff from Hasbro, Sideshow, and a galaxy of other licensees - it should be quite the event. Looking for non-Star Wars toy news? Check in at Cool Toy Review, where you can count on their usual excellent (and ridiculously comprehensive) coverage - including a checklist of all the SDCC exclusives!

New Figures Update
The doors to the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con may be closed but we still have a lot of cool stuff to show you including this special closer look at the new figures displayed in the Hasbro booth. Follow this link to get your fill on the first wave of Droid Factory and multi pack figures including the Return Of Darth Maul Battle Pack, the Endor two packs, and the Pilot and Ewoks multi packs. Pay close attention to the lightsaber on the Battle Pack Maul, when both hilts are removed from the spinning handle and connected, as well as the shots of the other AT ST driver and TIE Pilot without their helmets.

Official Hasbro Presentation
We've been bringing you continuous coverage of what's been coming out of San Diego Comic-Con over these past few days and now we have the official presentation from Hasbro's Star Wars panel on Friday for you to enjoy.

Sideshow Collectibles
Photo Archive: 1:1 Han In Carbonite
We've covered the 1:1 scale Darth Malgus in a previous gallery, and as you can see from the stories below, we've provided the images you wanted to see of the Boba and Vader pieces and that means we've only got the Han Solo in Carbonite piece left to look at. Follow the above link for a closer look, and stay tuned for to find out some very cool facts about this piece.

Photo Archive: 1:1 Boba Fett
Next up, we've got a gallery of Sideshow Collectibles' 1:1 scale The Empire Strikes Back Boba Fett, that was created with the help of some of our friends with the Dented Helmet. Follow this link to check out the gallery that takes a very close look at the helmet worn by the most nefarious bounty hunter of them all!

Photo Archive: 1:1 Darth Vader
As you know from our previous galleries, Sideshow Collectibles originally had but three imposing 1:1 scale Star Wars statues on display, but they were quick to add a fourth to their 2012 San Diego Comic-Con booth. We wanted to get detailed galleries to you as soon as possible, but knowing that shooting when SDCC was open would compromise what images we could shoot, we focused on shooting them very early in the mornings (sacrificing sleep to leave no fan behind is our specialty). First up we have the late entry, and to many (myself included) the coolest of the bunch, the Return Of The Jedi Darth Vader. Follow the above link to check it out.

Photo Archive: A Closer Look At Sideshow
Coverage continues with a much closer look at every Star Wars collectible on display at the Sideshow Collectibles booth. Follow this link to have a closer look at some of the coolest figures and statues they have ever offered including the C-3PO & R2-D2, Shaak Ti and Darth Malgus Premium Format Figures, the Return Of The Jedi Darth Vader and The Phantom Menace Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tamashii Nations' Die-Cast C-3PO 1/6 scale figures!

Photo Archive: An Early Look At Sideshow's Booth
While most things weren't totally set up when we were by to visit, we did get to check out the 1:1 Boba Fett, and it is pretty dang accurate. No surprise since some of the guys from The Dented Helmet were involved. At quick glance, the only part that is sculptural in stead of fabric, is the gloves and boots. One of the coolest features is the light sequence on the chest armour, which is dead on!

Next to this piece is the other Mandalorian-clad bounty hunter from the feature films: The Jango Fett Life-Size Bust, which is something else.

One more space over to the right is the Die-Cast C-3PO 1/6 scale figure. This piece, though not shown in the gallery, is a fine piece of articulated heavy metal. We'd have loved to have shot it, but it wasn't standing when we were there. Better luck next time.

The Mythos line was well represented with the Gamorrean guard, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the newly announced Darth Vader statues. This line keeps getting better all the time!

The Shaak Ti Premium format Figure, and the 1/6 scale Return Of The Jedi Darth Vader, Darth Malgus, The Phantom Menace Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Celebration VI exclusive Ganch figure. Not on display was the General Grievous we saw last year. Fear not, it hasn't been cancelled. Sideshow is still developing the articulation to insure the figure doesn't succumb to the forces of gravity. He may fall when battling General Kenobi, but that'll be the only time the production version will fall, so we can wait.

Gentle Giant Ltd.

Photo Archive: Gentle Giant Is Already Set Up
Gentle Giant is a well-oiled machine when it comes to setting up their booth, and they didn't disappoint this year!

While every other booth was putting things together still, our friends at Gentle Giant were chilling out with their fully armed and operational convention booth, and it was chock full of Star Wars awesomeness!

In the corner closest to the main entrance they were displaying their many of their Jumbo Kenner figures including Gamorrean Guard, See-Threepio, Artoo-Detoo, Lando Calrissian (Toothy grin version), Walrusman, Greedo, Hammerhead, Cloth Robe Jawa, Stormtrooper, Arfive-Defour, as well as both the blue and red Snaggletooth figures. To add the the coolness, all were displayed on a cardboard backdrop based on the Sears Cantina Adventure Set from the original Kenner collection.

The Clone Trooper Lieutenant statue we mentioned earlier today was also displayed, along with two of the Clone Trooper deluxe statue to show it off with the helmet on and off. The Clone portrait looks just like Temuera Morrison. Both of these statues was totally eclipsed by the stunning realistic-style Spider Legs Darth Maul. This imposing work of art is a must have for anyone that includes The Clone Wars stroyline in their level of Cannon (myself included!).

There were many new Mini Busts on display including Ree-Yees, Battle Droid Pilot, Battle Droid Security, Republic commando, Rebel Fleet Trooper, Wald, Droopy McCool, Sy Snoodles, and a very rad Jar Jar Binks.

For the Animated Maquette collection, Gentle Giant revealed their Sandtrooper On Dewback, Darth Malak, and Scout Trooper Ewok Attack (which is a cartoonish reimagining of the popular Star Wars Galaxy series one trading card from way back in the day.)

Lastly, they also showed off their upcoming AT-AT Bookends.

The big reveal at the eFX booth was the new Legend Biker Scout helmet. The prototype for this new 1:1 scale helmet replica was created using the original wood sculpture and like other Legend releases accurately recreates the props used in the feature films. The helmet features a levered face mask and a hidden chin strap and cup.

The Biker Scout helmet wasn't the only new thing on display however, as they also had the 1:1 scale Darth Maul Legend Hero Lightsaber hilt, that was created using the hero prop the production gifted to Ray Park after the filming of The Phantom Menace. This prop made its way to a private collection, and eFX was able to use this historically significant piece to recreate the hilt. Holding true to the original prop, the Legend Darth Maul Hilt will have metal end caps, and a non-metal body.

One of The Old Republic Master Orgus Lightsaber replicas created for BioWare was on display. The original piece was created as a gift for the people that worked on the game, and the production run was limited to six hundred pieces. None of them were numbered.

eFX has stated their intent on creating a wide release, numbered version of this hilt, but it will be put on a standard stand and will likely have a production run closer to five hundred pieces, but this time out it will also feature a light up element. More to come on this soon.

Two new Lightsaber Reveals were on display as well. The Obi-Wan Kenobi A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker lightsabers take the concept into a new direction by adding a sense of history to the pieces. While the Return Of The Jedi featured machined pieces that looked rather sleek to match the scene in the film, the next two use older looking elements, creating a greater sense of evolution.

Lastly, but not least in any way, eFX will also be offering a Force Unleased Starkiller hilt.
