Word of the then rumored Walgreens exclusive action figure was first whispered a few weeks earlier but The Black Series Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) 6-inch action figure wasn't officially announced until July 1, 2014. Walgreens put the figure up for pre-order a few weeks later, but the figure became available on their store shelves months before they fulfilled the online pre-orders. The first store reports of this figure being found were in September, 2014.
