Most fans of Star Wars will know the tragic tale of Katie Johnson, and how her father Albin rallied the community to help her through her illness. Since Katie's passing both Albin and R2-KT continue to work to raise money for children's charities - in particular the Make-A-Wish Foundation whose vision is to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Numerous Star Wars groups including the 501st Garrison, Lucasfilm and the R2 Builders Club continue to support Albin and his cause - and this charity auction, with 30% of all sales going to Make-A-Wish, for a custom LEGO R2-KT Minifig is another way for us all to be a Force for Change in our own way. The weekend before Star Wars Day saw Westfield Warringah in Sydney, Australia host the Master Your Force build event where the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest LEGO brick Death Star was crowd-constructed. If you - like many of us - didn't get to attend then click on the video link above to watch a time lapse build. Want to know more about the Master Builder who lead the team that put this together? Then check out Man Of Many's video interview with Chris Steininger. And if that has given you an appetite for destruction you'll definitely want to watch this Rube Goldberg machine that debricks the myth that the Death Star is the ultimate power in the galaxy!
