For a decade, Star Wars fans had to live without a single Wookiee in their growing Sideshow collection and up until the California-based collectibles company released the teaser image June 14th, 2012, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Even though the image gave us all hope, no one knew for certain at that point what scale it would be. It wasn't until the last day of 2012/2013 12 Days Of Sideshow event that we finally found out it was the Chewbacca Premium Format Figure we were looking at.

The statue went up for pre-order on March 14th, 2013 and began shipping twelve months later.
