DARTH VADER CENTERPIECE 01 The Black Series Action Figure Display

After the Alderaanian starship Tantive IV intercepted transmissions from the Rebel Alliance that included plans from the Death Star, Darth Vader seized control of the vessel and boarded it, striking down any opposition in his path.

Knowing they had to strike hard with an iconic entrance to launch The Black Series Centerpiece collection, Hasbro went to the one that changed the world. Everyone remembers the first time they saw Darth Vader, and with the first piece in this plastic 6-inch scale diorama line took it to the next level!

Hasbro announced The Black Series Centrepiece line on February 9, 2017 and put it on display for the first time in their showroom as part of their 2017 International Toy Fair offerings. Both this and the 02 Luke Skywalker diorama hit retail the following September 1st, as part of Lucasfilm's Force Friday II product release event.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
