The Force Awakens 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure
The MMS408 R2-D2 was revealed publicly in their display at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, but Hot Toys didn't officially announce the figure featured on this page until January 23rd, 2017. Based on the Astromech's appearance in The Force Awakens, Hot Toys designed their first Artoo-Detoo to have functional touch-activated lights and remote controlled sound bites. This figure began shipping in North American in September, 2017.
