The Scout Trooper featured on this page was revealed to be a part of the second wave of The Black Series Archive 6-inch action figure collection on October 24, 2018. Hasbro chose to include this figure, which was originally released in the Speeder Bike with Biker Scout 6-inch set released in 2014, in their 6-inch greatest hits collection to both offer a unique paint application on a cool army builder and to give collectors a chance to purchase it as a single carded figure release. The second wave of figures in The Black Series Archive began reaching collectors in North America in June, 2019.
