The X-Wing Pilot Asty was revealed on October 7, 2015 at Hasbro's invite-only 'Twas The Night Before... Party held in private space in Midtown New York the night before the New York Comic Con. This figure, along with the First Order Snowtrooper and First Order General Hux hit shelves at across North America as part of The Black Series 6-inch action figure collection in December 2015.

Paint Design Change
  • Very early in its production, Hasbro opted to change the paint design on the X-Wing Pilot Asty figure. The original design featured black paint on the Ejection Harness straps and didn't have the light grey around the Republic logo on the helmet like the later released version.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
