Gentle Giant first revealed their Yoda (Ilum) 1/6 scale statue at their booth at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. This statue went up for pre-order on August 14, 2013.
The Yoda (Ilum) statue, which is an intentional companion piece to the Padmé Amidala statue, saw a production run limited to 1,900 pieces. It began shipping in July, 2014.
