Bluefin announced the Bandai Hobby Star Wars model line on November 29th 2016, launching with the 1/72 and 1/144 scale Red Squadron X-Wing Starfighter Special Set, also revealing 1/72 scale kits for the Tie Interceptor, A-Wing Starfighter, and Poe's X-Wing Fighter that were to follow in January 2017. The 1/72 & 1/144 Red Squadron X-Wing Starfighter Plastic Model Kit became available in North America in December 2016.
