IDW Publishing has always produced comic-book related material, such as their Artist Editions or their Mini-Comic packs. After Marvel started producing Star Wars comics again, IDW started up with these collectible versions of the various Star Wars comics. In early 2017 IDW announced that they had the license to produce comics for young readers and the Star Wars Adventures line was born. They continue to produce new stories for the younger reader, including Forces of Destiny and the upcoming Tales from Vader's Castle.
