His pilot droid, FLTCH, suggests clogging the intakes of the enemy fighters. As they fly lower to kick up sand and other debris, Ki releases some debris to attempt to fool the Hutt into thinking he is damaged. The fighters self destruct and 2-ROB lets his master know that J1M was sucked out of the hold when the debris was released. Jabba the Hutt is not fooled by his trick and prepares to launch his shuttle. On the roof of his citadel, a trio of guards take watch of the two cerean prisoners. Twin comments on how the Ion storm actually tickles, that is until a large bolt of lightning zaps a Gamorrean guard. But just as the storm is picking up, Ki's ship flies in and he and FLTCH leap out. Jabba uses this moment to launch his shuttle of goods into space to his waiting Trade Federation partners. Ki dispatches the two guards, rescues his daughter, Sylvn, and Twin, and departs. B3NK suggests that they go look for J1M, but Ki reveals that they need to follow the shuttle and pick J1M, who should have completed his mission of downloading the cargo manifests of the shuttle. J1M lets Ki know that there were many forbidden items in the hold of that ship that are being taken to the Trade Federation. Ki says he will make sure to inform the Jedi Council in these matters. Upon returning to Cerea, Ki meets with Nar-Somo-Dali who says that Sylvn's testimony helped dispel any false suspicions on Maj and the Pro Tech movement. He also councils Ki to spend some time with his family, as some strange things are afoot within the Republic. Ki, his wives and children enjoy a picnic in a field on Cerea. Shea revels that she is pregnant, and Mawin hopes that she can deliver a boy to Ki. Shea, says that would be nice, but Ki now would be happy with any child. On Coruscant, an unknown speaker, possibly Mace Windu, questions the worth of offering Ki-Adi-Mundi a seat on the Jedi Council. Yoda indicates how valuable he has been and how well he deals with extreme pressure. The speaker agrees then to put it to a vote. As the sun sets on Cerea, Ki walks toward his ship and droids with a case in his hand.
