This issue reprints Marvel comics Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Limited Series #1-2, recolored and edited for this new format. All chapter titles have been removed as have issue credits and next issue blurbs.
All original credits have been listed on the inside cover, and remain the same as in the original issues except Carey S. Porter has recolored the entire issues artwork.
Two pages of the original story were edited out of this reprinting, even though both pages appeared in Marvel Super Special #27 and Return of the Jedi #2. They include page 19 (MSS) or 3 (ROTJ) with Boba Fett blasting off the barge and Leia choking Jabba, and page 25 (MSS) or 10 (ROTJ) where Han pulls Lando out of the Sarlacc pit and Luke and Leia prep for their swing off the Barge.
The seven pages immediately following the story contain reprints of the pinups from issues #1 & 2, except for a Yoda and Obi-Wan pinup from issue #2. The last nine pages are new and have original production art from Return of the Jedi.
This issue was polybagged and contained a promotional Star Wars Galaxy preview card. The card was from 1994, numbered DH3 and it features artwork of the Falcon and Star Destroyer from Dark Empire II by Cam Kennedy.
