Dark Horse Extra was a 25¢ periodical sold thru comic specialty shops. It was 14 3/4" wide and 21 1/2" tall, folded once vertically. On some occasions it may also have been folded again horizontally. It contained three serialized strips, two on the front page and one on the back. Inside was a full page poster (measuring 14 3/4" by 21 1/2") and a full page devoted to upcoming releases called "News from the Stable" by Ivana Fanboy. The rear page also featured an ad and a column on the Dark Horse Web Site called "DHC Web Words" by Jay Pegg.
This issue also features Angel part 2 by Brett Matthews, Joss Whedon, Mel Rubi, Chris Dreier & Dan Jackson and Planet of the Apes part 2 by Scott Allie, Eric Powell & Dan Jackson, plus a poster for Angel by Mel Rubi & Chris Dreier.

Quin reluctantly accepts the Heart of Fire from Xiaan, and using his Jedi gifts, is able to relive the experiences with his Padawan, Aayla Secura. This heartens him and he vows to Xiaan that he will find Aayla again.
