According to the inside cover, the events in this issue takes place four and a half months before Revenge of the Sith, and right after the Obsession series.
The mission to Cato Neimoidia mentioned in the last page of this issue is chronicled in the James Luceno novel, Labyrinth of Evil.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker have gone on the hunt for General Grievous and Count Dooku and have tracked the Separatists to a citadel on the planet of Ruhe. Unfortunately they have lost the element of surprise, having been shot down by vulture droids and crash landing on the other side of a crater from the citadel.
Anakin, Obi-Wan and two clone troopers break out their speeder bikes to cross to the citadel, while the clone commander Jenks and the rest of his men fix the transport.
As they travel through the thick forest they do not see the droid patrol before it is upon them. Super battle droids and battle droids on STAP's destroy all the speeder bikes and kill the two clone troopers, before the Jedi can cut the droids down with their lightsabers.
Anakin still feels that they can reach the citadel before Count Dooku returns, but Obi-Wan lets his emotions get the better of him and barks at Anakin about their loses to date. He quickly apologizes and they continue on their way.
The two discuss what they want to accomplish once the war is over. Anakin wonders how Obi-Wan will spend his time. Obi-Wan tries to let Anakin know that he will support his former padawan in any way he can, but now it is time for them to get some rest.
The next morning, as they arrive at the citadel, they see Dooku's starfighter landing. Anakin charges into the citadel followed by Obi-Wan. Surprisingly there are no guards. They sneak in but come around the corner into a huge group (at least 96) of battle droids and super battle droids. They manage to fight their way outside and onto the landing platform where they are confronted by a trio of droidekas. The droids force the two Jedi back and Obi-Wan falls over the edge of the platform. Anakin's anger surges, but is quickly defused.
The droidekas are blasted by a mysterious source behind Skywalker, who turns to see Obi-Wan clinging to the side of the now repaired gunship. The clone commander grabs Anakin and they head for their cruiser.
Later on the cruiser, Anakin lets Obi-Wan know how scared he was to have nearly lost him. Obi-Wan has their new assignment on Cato Neimoidia, which Anakin feels is a wasted mission, but they will go together and fight as a team.
