COMMENTS Being the cultural phenomenon that it was, Star Wars references have permeated every part of popular culture. Not surprisingly, comic books have an abundance of references. This graphic novel, that instructs readers on the best ways to create comic stories and images, features two references.
The first is in a section talking about compressing story-time with words. Author Scott McCloud uses the droids on Tatooine and the text "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." to help illustrate his point.
The second features Obi-Wan (along with Gandalf and Dumbledore) helping teach the lesson on character archetypes.
