San Diego Comic Con has come and gone and there’s much to discuss. For the first time ever, the Collector’s Edition and the Jedi Journals duos “Come Together” to bring you the 2011 SDCC Wrap Up show! SDCC11: The Diamond Select Toys Booth
Next up in our continuing 2011 San Diego Comic-Con coverage comes a gallery of images shot at the Diamond Select Toys booth. This year, all they were displaying was their bank collection, including the upcoming Darth Maul. The version on display was the variant which, you'll see in the above linked gallery, has a holographic Darth Sidious in his hand. The regular version can be seen on the back of the Slave I package and comes with his lightsaber in hand.

SDCC11: Gentle Giant, Darth Malgus, & The Old Republic

SDCC11: Star Wars Licensee Of The Year
Each year in the weeks leading up to Comic-Con, the Rebelscum team evaluates what's come out over the course of the last 12 months and takes a look at how well all the Star Wars licensees work to create diverse products that we, the collectors, want. It was our pleasure to award Del Rey with our Licensee of the Year Award. This is the first time the top honours has gone to a publisher.
SDCC11: Gentle Giant's Booth
Our 2011 San Diego Comic-Con coverage continues with a gallery of the statues and mini-busts displayed at Gentle Giant's booth. Highlights include the Modular General Maximilian Veers that will feature removable chest armour and two switch out heads for helmeted display on the AT AT & Officer Capped on the Executioner, and the Star Wars Tales Darth Vader 'Maker' bust that will come with a mini reprint of the classic Dark Horse Star Wars Tales comic. Another early highlight in our 2011 San Diego Comic-Con coverage is this gallery showing off Sideshow Collectibles' Star Wars products including our first look at the 1/6 scale General Grievous, Boba Fett, and 4-LOM as well as the first two figures in their new Legendary Scale Figures collection (Obi-Wan and Darth Maul), a pile of 1/1 scale and 1/6 scale collectibles, and the latest piece in their bronze collection. follow the above link for a closer look!
