To celebrate the release of the latest
Star Wars film, the
British Journal of Photography are currently seeking super
Star Wars fans for a unique project with Lucasfilm.
The BJP is looking for families (biological or chosen) in Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States who connect with each other through one person’s or the whole group’s relationship with
Star Wars.
"One of the main themes across all nine
Star Wars films is family. In this project we aim to highlight the importance of family, the dynamics of all kinds of families worldwide and the intergenerational nature of
Star Wars fandom. Grannies who knit Death Star jumpers for their grandchildren, Uncles who cry every time the words ‘I am your father’ are uttered, kids who have
Star Wars themed Bar Mitzvahs - we want to see them all."
The selected families will all take part in a professional photography and film shoot (to be shot in their home) on November 9th and 10th 2019, and their stories and imagery will be featured by
British Journal of Photography and
StarWars.com in advance of the release of
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
If you are a
Star Wars Family - or know of anyone who fits the bill - and interested in this incredible opportunity
head to the application page before midnight GMT on Thursday October 24th 2019!
