The newest book from the wizards at Lucasfilm, is The Jedi Path - A Manual for Students of the Force. Daniel Wallace presents this all-new, in-universe guide to the Force. Written as in instructional guide by a group of eight Jedi Masters and annotated with notes from famous Jedi (and Sith) from the Saga, this guide seeks to explain the Force in a way never presented before.
Opening the box, the first thing you'll find is — another box. Inside that box, is the actually Vault, bagged up like a Christmas turkey, just waiting to be unwrapped. Slipping off the outer layer of plastic, reveals an informational band that surrounds the Vault. This provides the details of the set, should you choose to display the artifact outside of it's original packaging.
Removing the band, as the Vault will not open otherwise, allows you to push the button at the bottom edge of the Vault. After a click and a whoosh, the case splits and the actual book rises to greet you, accompanied by sounds effects and flashing blue lights. It rises, as if on the Force (but it's not though. Just a clever pneumatic lift!) You are now free to actually take the book and read it.
Inside this "manual" of the Force, you'll find everything from instructions on meditation, lightsaber combat, and the nature of the Force. Hand drawn images* of techniques, alien races, and starships are replete throughout the text, along with "hand-scrawled' notes from some of the most notable Jedi from the Star Wars saga, including Anakin, Ahsoka, Yoda, Luke as well as Sith such as Dooku and Sidious. Also scattered through the book ar artifacts from the Galaxy Far Far Away, such as a Jedi braid, a credit, and a starfighter patch.
The Jedi Path is the most unique and different sort of book. It is a collectible, a novel, a fictional diary, and a display piece all wrapped-up in one package. Danial Wallace takes his knowledge of the Star Wars universe and puts it to tremendous use, as he presents this amazing tome, as a real piece of the fictional Saga.
The Jedi Path (Vault Edition) is currently only available via Amazon.com and costs $99.99. For more information check out the product page right here.
