As announced yesterday by the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, the third installment in the LEGO
Star Wars video game license has been added to the Xbox One Backward Compatability Programme.
As in the original, LEGO
Star Wars III:
Clone Wars, is based on the TV series which ran from 2008 to 2015. If you aren't up to speed with this superbly animated show you can catch up with the
five season boxed set and the unaired season six
The Lost Missions disk, which are both available on Amazon.com.
According to Microsoft the porting of classix Xbox games allows them to leverage the additional power of the console for higher resolution, increase the pixel count by nine times, and expanded colour details.
This game is purely DLC so for your $29.95 you won't get a physical copy of the game so this news might not be to taste for LEGO
Star Wars collectors. But gamers will be pleased that this title joins other LEGO vide games like
Star Wars: The Complete Saga, both
Indiana Jones games and the stupidly awesome
Pirates of the Caribbean.
You can check out the
full Back Compat list to see the other +400 titles that are available.
