the Return Of The Jedi magazine features were certainly a large component on how we all felt, and while exciting and full of energy, it still felt some what somber and respectful of the massive influence the films had on pop culture and the way films were made and marketed. The highlight was the
Star Wars issue of Time which first confirmed more films once technology finally reached George Lucas' vision. Technology that he'd have a very heavy hand in creating... something everyone should keep in mind when discussing the films of this visionary.
