If you were at the Waterfront Bar on Saturday night for the big party you will have been witness to one of the most amazing occasions of the whole Celebration. While Dan, Mary F and myself were having a chat we heard someone calling "All lighstabers to the bridge. Could all lightsabres go to the bridge please?" and we knew something was in the offing.
The three of us stood back and watched as the lift on one side of the Royal Victoria Dock bridge, which bears an uncanny resemblence to the minig facility on Mustafar, ascended and descended.
After a few minutes of listening to the sound of clattering footsteps a secret signal was given and scores of lightsabers ignited - Sith red nearest to us and the blues and greens of the Jedi at the furthest end of the bridge - followed by an almighty roar. You'll have to watch this YouTube video to see what happened next.
The final outcome of the Battle Of Royal Victoria Bridge is unknown - perhaps there will be a rematch at the Brandenburg Gate or the Eiffel Tower.
