Even if it is just a repaint of
Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, there's just something about this ROTS ship that's so cool. As it utilizes the same mold, Obi-Wan's fighter has the same features as we saw with the Sneak Peek Anakin version: firing missiles, droid slot, attack wings, landing gear, opening cockpit, and a slew of "battle wear" bonus decals to customize the overall look. The red deco is a nice compliment to Anakin's yellow, and the style of the vehicle marks a clear transition from Episode II's Jedi Starfighter to the TIE fighters of the classic trilogy. The only sour cord this baby hits is the fact that we'll have to wait several more weeks before we have a pilot to put at the controls; an Obi-Wan pilot figure is planned, but falls at the end of the basic figure line at #56. So far this vehicle and others in the assortment have been popping regularly at Target stores, while its official release date isn't for another few weeks, it has been one of the easier "leaked" toys to pick up.
