Another Dark Horse title recently released is the collected edition of
Star Wars: Infinities -- The Empire Strikes Back.
The 96-page trade paperback collects the four-issue run by Dave Land, Davide Fabbri and Christian Dalla Vecchia, with covers by Chris Bachalo and Tim Townsend.
When Luke Skywalker perishes on Hoth, the familiar saga takes a drastically different twist and it's up to Han Solo to travel to Dagobah to be trained by Jedi Master Yoda.
But all is not what it seems in this series, as Han is not the chosen one after all. That honor falls upon Princess Leia, who remains behind on Dagobah to learn the ways of the Jedi. Han and Chewbacca try to repay some old debts with Jabba the Hutt, Lando Calrissian gets a new desk for his office, and Darth Vader shows up to ruin everyone's day.
In
Infinities, you can never tell which direction the storyline will take, and nothing should be taken for granted. Look for new series re-telling
Return of the Jedi,
The Phantom Menace and
Attack of the Clones in the future, as this concept is proving to be popular with comic fans.
The trade paperback is currently available at comic shops and bookstores now.
