Here are the details on six figures in the
Battle of Hoth wave.
The cardbacks are slightly different on the back than from the
Battle of Carkoon wave. The holos are now all surrounded by a blue glow (where as with the Carkoon wave there was a blue glow for good guys and a red glow for bad guys). The holo breakdown is still the same though, good guys/good guy holos and bad guys/bad guy holos.
SAGA 007: General VeersBio: General Veers commanded the ground forces for Darth Vader’s elite Imperial Death Squadron. He is sent to Hoth on a mission to crush the Rebel forces and destroy Echo Base.
Accessories: Blaster, Helmet, Armor
The Scoop: This figure turned out GREAT! No complaints. The ball cap is not removable (the helmet fits right on top). The gun fits in the holster.
Articulation: 12- ball joint head/shoulders/swivel elbows/swivel wrists/waist/legs at hips/swivel boots (very OTC style).
SAGA 008: Major Bren DerlinBio: Major Derlin was a field officer in the Rebel base on Hoth. When Han Solo and Luke Skywalker were stranded outside Echo Base, he informed Princess Leia that the shield doors would have to be locked for the night without them.
Accessories: Blaster
The Scoop: NICE sculpt, GREAT paint aps. The gun fits in the holster.
Articulation: 10- ball joint head/shoulders/swivel elbows/swivel wrists/waist/legs. Nothing really special (very OTC style).
SAGA 009: AT-AT DriverBio: This Imperial soldier has one goal: to use the massive AT-AT walkers to destroy Echo Base! Working in teams of two, one driver propels the mighty AT-AT into battle while the other operates the laser cannons.
Accessories: Blaster
The Scoop: 11- ball joint head/ball joint shoulders/swivel elbows/swivel wrists/legs at hips/ball joint knees!
Articulation: Definately the GEM of this wave. The new sculpt is DEAD ON and the figure is SA!!!!!!!!!!!
SAGA 010: R2-D2Bio: As the end of the battle on Hoth draws near, R2-D2 accompanies Luke Skywalker in his X-wing as he flees the remains of Echo Base. R2-D2 is a reluctant companion as the two travel to the Dagobah system.
Accessories: Survival Gear (Cargo Compartment, Rations Kit, Survival Light)
The Scoop: Like I predicted this figure is NOT electronic!!!!!! He is simply a repaint of the VOTC/Early bird R2. He's more dirty and the panel is glued on (like the EB R2).
Where you've seen it before: This figure is a repaint of the figure from 2005's
Early Bird Kit, which was based on 2004's SAGA
Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2). The survival gear are all repainted accessories from 2002's SAGA
Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter.
SAGA 013: Darth VaderBio: Darth Vader is on a mission to find Luke Skywalker. When a probe droid brings news of a Rebel base on Hoth, Vader leads the Imperial forces to the icy planet, but he arrives too late to capture the young Jedi.
Accessories: Lightsaber, Cape, Dome
The Scoop: Repack of the 500th Vader, with SLIGHTLY different paint aps on the chest plate. The top of the helmet is still removable.
Where you've seen him before: This figure is a repack of the
500th Darth Vader figure.
SAGA 014: Power Droid (GNK & Treadwell Droids)Bio: Power droids are used by Imperials and Rebels alike to power anything from ships to machinery to other droids. This unit powers the Alliance’s snowspeeders on Hoth when the Imperial forces attack.
Accessories: Treadwell Droid, Plug-in Parts
The Scoop: Interesting repaint, it is what it is. The "walking" feature is still intact.
Where you've seen it before: This figure is a repaint of 1999's POTF2
Jawa and Gonk Droid, only instead of a Jawa, it comes with a repainted treadwell droid from 1999's POTF2
Aunt Beru figure.
