The 'Star Wars: Infinities - A New Hope' series finished up with the release of issue #4 last Wednesday. The story, which took an unorthodox approach to the saga, explored what might have happened if Luke failed to destroy the first dreaded Death Star. As expected, events in the comic paralleled those from Empire and Jedi with a few changes here and there. One of the most promising changes was Yoda's decision to leave Dagobah and travel with Luke and Han to the Imperial home world. In a final confrontation with Tarkin, a few tidbits are revealed that could prove to have roots in the Prequel era.
The artwork is fantastic, capturing many of the likenesses and moods from the Star Wars films while the story was interesting and creative. Officially, the Star Wars Tales series is included under the 'Infinities' category, but there's been no mention of other series based on events from the films. Infinities - A New Hope #4 is available now; look for it and any of these back issues at you local comic shop today.
