It's been a slightly longer wait this year, but fast approaching is that special event that every self-respecting (and every un-suspecting son/daughter/partner of a)
Star Wars fan yearns for - the official
Star Wars Days Events at the LEGO parks.
- LEGOLAND Billund - nothing has been mentioned on the original LEGOLAND park's events page, but the 501st Nordic Garrison has an appearance on their schedule of events for the long weekend of April 30th to May 1st.
- LEGOLAND Deutschland - has two official events listed on their events page for May 13th to 16th (Galactic LEGO Star Wars building action) and May 26th to 29th (LEGO Star Wars Days). No additional details has been included yet.
- LEGOLAND Windsor - apart from a brief note on the official events page that there is a LEGO Star Days Event Days planned for the long weekend in May (April 30th to May 2nd). No doubt the half million brick Death Star will feature heavily in the celebrations.
- LEGOLAND California - confirmed as June 4th and 5th, the events page at the official site lists a family build challenge, a Jedi trivia contest, a Miniland scavenger hunt and the local LUG is organising a MOC display, with an exclusive t-shirt and a polybagged minifig to registered participants.
- LEGOLAND Florida - an official Star Wars Days events has yet to be announced; likely due to the ambiguity over the future of Disney's Star Wars Weekends. So far the only listed Star Wars event is the LEGO Club Weekend over September 10th and 11th. Master model builders will be there to teach attendees the tricks of building LEGO Star Wars sets, and there will be a Yoda Scavenger Hunt and a LEGO Star Wars mural to get enthused about, plus a firework show at the end of each night.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia - an official Star Wars Day has been confirmed on the events page for May: "May the Force be with you! This is the time of the year where LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort becomes the home of LEGO Star Wars fans. Discover plenty of Force-filled LEGO Star Wars fun, such as special building activities, parades, walking characters and more!" No solid date(s) has been announced yet.
We'll keep this page updated with the latest news, and next year there'll be an extra two parks to report on, with the opening of
LEGOLAND Dubai in October 2016 and LEGOLAND Shanghai sometime in 2017.
