Showing that LEGO Star Wars has an appeal that extends well beyond the general public - or maybe demonstrating that we're all just kids at heart - several Star Wars luminaries have come out of the toy box to reveal that they love brick.
Speaking in a recent live chat on the official Star Wars account on Instagram, director of The Last Jedi and the upcoming extended Star Wars trilogy, Rian Johnson said that "When I was actually writing this movie, The Last Jedi, a couple of years ago, I got a bunch of LEGO Star Wars sets and I would build them while I was writing. It was kind of a meditative thing I did to kind of concentrate" he told viewers.
As if that was not enough to confirm his LEGO fan credentials, the Star Wars creative also revealed that he picked up the 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon. ‘As a big treat to myself I just got the massive Millennium Falcon LEGO set so maybe when I’m writing the next thing I do I’ll put that thing together.’
While helping to promote her cover issue of ELLE Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, turned her hand to constructing a ship she knows well - the 75015 Millennium Falcon.
While she barely makes any progress on her build, Daisy does discuss her place as an actress in the Star Wars universe, cats, lightsabre accessories, Star Trek, bedroom habits, women in the movie industry and how to dress as a pimp.
Details into her personal life and eating preferences aside, it is interesting to note that she doesn't open all her bags at once.
If you're a fan of Rey in LEGO form, don't forget that there are a number of products on LEGO.com available to add to your collection.
