The first day of Star Wars Fan Days started on Saturday morning with the Fan Club Breakfast. Guests of Honor included Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Derryl DePriest (Hasbro), and Steve Sansweet (Lucasfilm).

Official Pix once again sponsored the Fan Club Breakfast, which allowed fans to spend time together and allowed them to get an autograph from guest of honor Jeremy Bulloch. Jeremy spoke to the fans for a time, and unlike at past breakfasts where everyone lined up for autographs, he went around the room to each table and signed the breakfast-exclusive trading card. Before he made the rounds, however, he issued a challenge for someone to correctly answer a trivia question: what was the full name of teh character he played in Revenge of the Sith?

The next speaker was Hasbro's Derryl DePriest, who thanked the fans for their continued support throughout the years, and he gave everyone a special sneak peek at the upcoming Evolutions set starring Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and Mandalore. This set wasn't allowed to be photographed, since at the last minute, it was requested for an exclusive future cover shoot, but Derryl took it around to each table so fans could get a closer look at this amazing set of action figures. Both Fetts have removable helmets, and Jango comes with an alternate headgear seen when he flies the Slave I. The Mandalore figure is based on the character who started it all from Knights of the Old Republic, complete with a shield, spear, and soft goods.

Finally, the legendary Steve Sansweet took the podium and talked about what a great year it's been for Star Wars, and gave us a glimpse as to what the future will bring, including The Force Unleashed, which while the game will have multiple endings, there will only be one chosen for the novelization. Then he took a few questions from the audience. The highlights of which included:

  • A network has not yet been chosen for either The Clone Wars or live-action TV series, although there are several networks interested. They're going to see which channel is the right fit
  • Asked if George Lucas might start up his own network, Steve said George believes that the future is in digital downloads, although the technology isn't readily available everywhere yet, and certainly not in time for the series' debut next year.
  • The same answer goes for the announced 3D treatment of the Star Wars films. The focus is on the current projects, although it is still very much something Lucasfilm wants to do. It's just not time yet.
  • Most of the casting for the series is being done in Australia, since that's where the filming will take place.
  • He thought the Family Guy tribute episode was funny.
  • Will there be future Celebrations? That's something they'd all like to do, but there are no plans at the moment. A few fans preferred someplace centrally located, and Steve said that they would look at different locations, both in and (since Celebration Europe was a success) out of the US.
