It's not even scheduled to be released until April 2nd, but comic book retailers have been given strict orders NOT to sell the
Star Wars: Visionaries trade paperback, which features original tales from the artists who helped create
Revenge of the Sith.
*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT STAR WARS: VISIONARIES APRIL 2 STREET DATE!
Due to a processing error, Dark Horse's
STAR WARS: VISIONARIES TP (JAN050045V) will be shipped to stores on March 16, despite originally being scheduled for later shipping.
This title falls under Lucasfilm's embargo date for materials related to
Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith. As a result, it may not be sold or displayed until Saturday, April 2. Retailers MUST hold the
Visionaries trade until that date, per 20th Century Fox & Lucasfilm's licensing agreement.
Diamond and Dark Horse regret the inconvenience, but remind retailers that
STAR WARS: VISIONARIES TP may NOT be sold or displayed until the embargo is lifted on Saturday, April 2. Until then, retailers are asked to keep the books off of the sales floor and made entirely unavailable to consumers.
Diamond and Dark Horse regret any confusion caused by this error. Retailers with further questions about this announcement should contact their Diamond Customer Service Representative.
