For your viewing pleasure, we've got more all-new photos of upcoming figures, vehicles, and battle packs from Hasbro's
Legacy Collection line!
Action FiguresAside from the new carded photo of Queen Amidala, today's gallery focuses on the wave dedicated to
Return of the Jedi, and includes a great selection of main character upgrades, and great B- and C-level background aliens! Plus, since there are 8 figures in this wave, that means we will see 2 Build-A-Droid astromech figures: R3-01 from
A New Hope and R5-C7 (formerly known as R5-H6) from
Attack of the Clones.
The new figures shown today include:
BD08 Queen Amidala (Carded)
BD16 Luke Skywalker (Death Star II)
BD17 Princess Leia (Slave Outfit)
BD18 Ewoks (Paploo & NohApakk)
BD19 Nein Nunb (B-Wing Pilot)
BD20 Major Panno (Dressellian Commando)
BD21 Giran (Klatooinian Rancor Keeper)
BD22 Malakili (Rancor Keeper)
BD23 Nysad (Nikto Gunner)
Notes:
- Luke comes with 2 different chest pieces...to display the flap up or down.
- Leia comes with 2 different legs...to either stand or sit.
- Nein Nunb was a B-Wing Pilot before he was drafted to co-pilot the Millennium Falcon. Here's hoping for his more recognizable outfit one day.
- With the body already done, surely an upgraded Orrimarrko isn't far behind?
- The more aliens from Jabba's Palace, the better!
"Greatest Hits" Action Figures
Instead of including them in the case assortments with their own numbering system...which confused, well, almost everybody...these repacks (not to be confused with the SAGA LEGENDS repacks) are now PART of the mainline series. They will fit in with popular characters and troop builders, with the B-A-D part possibly changing depending on the wave they're included with.
The repack figures shown today include:
BD05 Darth Maul
BD12 Scout Trooper
BD13 Obi-Wan Kenobi
BD14 Anakin Skywalker (Jedi Hero)
BD15 Jango Fett
Notes:
- It looks like Obi-Wan now includes his the proper lightsaber.
- Jango Fett's suit is STILL the wrong color.
Battle Packs
Both of these sets appear to be made up of 100% repack figures, with the possible exception of the astromech droid (it looks like it's a different deco). Since the focus of the Battle Packs line has shifted to "gifts for kids", this is a nice way to get a complete scene of figures, and also some older figures that new fans may have missed out on.
For the collectors who only want new figures, these look to be sets to skip.
For the completists who need one of everything, my sympathies.
The new sets shown today include:
Duel on Mustafar
Kamino Conflict
Vehicles
Although we've seen practically every possible shade and size for the Imperial TIE Fighter already, why not keep tinkering until there's an ultimate version? This one includes the larger-sized wings, a removable cockpit, and red-tinted viewports (which is inspired by the Shadows of the Empire comic adaptation).
The new vehicle shown today is:
Imperial TIE Fighter
For those keeping track:
From our The Legacy Collection checklist has now been updated with these figures, as well as a few more that are reported to be included in the line later in the year.
