If you’re like a large number of Star Wars collectors, you began or at least returned to this obsession well after your childhood years. Now with your own money to spend (instead of pleading with your parents) to buy what you want, you can choose your favorite items to collect.
Even though there are many sub-sets of the hobby, the most popular is still the collecting of the hundreds of action figures released since the 1970s. Beginning with the first carded Star Wars figure to Empire, Jedi and then Power of the Force cards, a serious collector would still not have a complete vintage line until they also delved into the realm of cartoons.
Carded vintage figures from both the Droids and Ewoks cartoon series are sometimes the forgotten action figures from the Star Wars universe. Because of their short television lifespan, these toys can command a pretty price today. Either you love ‘em, or you hate ‘em…those wacky characters that kept young Star Wars fans entertained on Saturday mornings in 1985.
