Rumours came, leaks went and then the press announcement arrived - and then pondering began: What was a Master Builder Series? How could this be displayed? What were this sets play values? These questions were quickly followed by self-justification: It's the first Master Builder Series set after all! I can mod a stand! It's got all kinds of subtle nods to The Empire Strikes Back hidden in it!
LEGO Star Wars fans got their first chance to reserve a set for themselves on September 13th when regular (note: not holders of the black VIP card) members of the VIP were able to put a pre-order in with the promise of it shipping on October 1st, when the set went global and all interested parties could drop some dough.
Now, four days early, LEGO have moved up the release date of this set and you can order - and have shipped - your very own 5222 Betrayal At Cloud City!
