STAR WARS COMIC BOOK COVERS – #21
NOW AVAILABLE!
The second release in New Zealand Mint’s
Star Wars Premium Silver Foil Collection is now available featuring
a replica of Star Wars #21 cover from March 1979, commemorating the twenty-first issue of the
Star Wars series of comic books. The replica design is based on Carmine Infantino and Terry Austin’s cover artwork.
The issue marked the first appearance of Darth Vader in the comic series since the adaptation of
Star Wars: A New Hope. It also foreshadowed the telepathic bond between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, which was greatly expanded upon in
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. This striking 35g premium silver foil incorporates both colour and engraving and also features Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C3PO and R2-D2
The foil is housed in a clever acrylic holder, which has been designed to allow for easy display. Packaged inside a complementary
Star Wars themed carrier, this makes for a fantastic gift or keepsake for any
Star Wars fan.
The obverse of the foil features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and it is legal tender in Niue.
Strictly limited to 10, 000 foils worldwide, don’t miss out on
this innovative precious metal replica!
