We've received the answers to our last set of questions sent to JAKKS Pacific as part of their Ask JAKKS program.
RS: Are there any plans to release more 48" scale figures, or do you need to see how the Darth Vader figure is received before making a decision on this?
We don't have any specifics to announce right now, but we do have the rights to 48” for the SW brand and are excited to see the reception Darth Vaders gets with fans and collectors!
RS: You've included sound chips in your 31" and 48" Darth Vader figures; is this something that you might be doing with other figures in the future?
Yes, where appropriate for price point and execution we do love including sounds and features in our BIG FIGS. Not something you will see as a standard but if and when it works, sure!
RS: Other than the Clone Troopers and Darth Maul, the line has seen more of a focus on the classic trilogy era (or Empire-era when you factor in Star Wars Rebels); what's the likelihood of seeing some more characters from the prequels and The Clone Wars?
In time we'd love to explore many of the eras of the Star Wars Universe including Clone Wars and more Prequels characters. Nothing to announce at this time, but keep your eyes peeled!
RS: Will we be getting Hera, Sabine and Chopper to join Ezra, Kanan and the still-to-be-released Zeb?
Currently we don't have concrete plans to announce to complete the Ghost Crew in 20" scale, and yes we are working on getting Zeb out there as well. Based on how he and the others continue to perform at retail will determine how many more REBELS characters we can look into! We are all BIG fans of the show!
RS: Following on from that, what are the chances of you producing other female characters, such as Leia, Padme and Ahsoka?
Also possible. While we don't have anything to announce right now, in no way are these off the table!
