Wooof (known as Klaatu in the vintage Kenner line) was a former Nikto smuggler. He was placed in charge of the fleet of skiffs that Jabba the Hutt kept at his palace on the planet Tatooine as well as the crime lord's sail barge, the
Khetanna. His was killed with his own deflected blaster bolt when he went up against Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.
Wooof's action figure was released in 2010 as part of
The Vintage Collection. He is one of the best and most detailed figures from that assortment, which is saying a lot. He features a blaster--with a functional holster, a vibrolance, removable helmet, bandolier, and an excellent soft goods "fur" loin cloth. He is super-articulated, with 14 points of articulation. Seemingly no expense was spared, and he remains a shining example of what Hasbro can do.
While Wooof is one of the many interesting Skiff Guard characters that have been produced, he is undoubtedly the best figure among them. The sculpting detail on the face alone is some of the best work Hasbro has done. Click
