LEGO is celebrating 50 years of better building at Toy Fair next month, and VIP attendees have been invited to a special Star Wars gala during the show. This special LEGO figure also gives me a chance to answer a few questions that we've gotten about this figure. The head does in fact rotate, and the light-up feature is activated by pressing down on it. The hair and left hand are removable, but everything else is not. The electronics are hidden within the torso of the figure, and there does not appear to be a way to replace the battery. We'll find out more info on these new minifigures, as well as the rest of the LEGO line, at Toy Fair next month.

Remember the cool
Star Wars LEGO game mentioned in our San Diego Comic-Con

"The multi-platform title, which is being developed for home consoles by Traveller's Tales and for GBA by Amaze Entertainment, encompasses events from the three Star Wars prequel movies, and is set to ship next April."
Complete story here. Great news, as it would've been a shame for such a slick game to have delays due to publishing issues...

Fans have been teased for months by LEGO, who refused to release details of set number 10131, though it was first hinted at on the back of the latest Falcon packaging. Wesley noted today it's been added to
StarWarsShop.com. It's being called the TIE Collection and includes two TIE Fighters, Vader's TIE Advanced and their first shot at an expanded universe vehicle, the TIE/D fighter. It's being sold for $69.99. I'm guessing it's an exclusive shared with LEGO Direct, but have not yet confirmed this. With no new mini-figures in the set, and frankly not much new part-wise, this isn't much to get LEGO fans excited about.

LEGO image leaks are about as common as ticks on a dogfish, yet this
Eurobricks forum post features what appears to be the first 'official' images of the LEGO
mystery set 10131. So far LEGO has remained very hush hush about the contents of this set, but according to the latest images it appears it will include Darth Vader's TIE, possibly two standard TIE Fighters, and TIE Fighter (Drone?) from the Rogue Squadron video game. While we look forward to official confirmation from LEGO, it seems we can at least pencil this in as mystery solved.

The quite expensive LEGO Ultimate Collector Series Snowspeeder arrived here at Rebelscum headquarters today. Weighing in with 1457 pieces and costing $129.99 at
LEGO.com, this is an impressive piece that many fans may be forced to pass up if they need to choose between it and the new Cloud City set with all the new minifigs in it.

I received my LEGO
Cloud City set last week from
LEGO.com and got into it today to scan the new Mini-Figs. Of course, front and center in this cool group of figs is Lando Calrissian, long thought to be a figure we might never see. I was surprised to see bag #1 contain all the pieces I needed to assemble the
seven Mini-Figs this set came with. You can catch up with all the LEGO Mini-Figs in our

A Japanese exclusive, this special set of kubricks might seem familiar at first. This
Early Bird Certificate Package is based on the classic Kenner set from over 25 years ago. While that set featured the very first
Star Wars action figures, this set features the same exact four characters but created in the Kubrick style. This set features Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2, and also includes a special display stand and a Rebel Alliance Warrior ID Card. Another series is planned for later in the year...can you guess which characters will be featured?

Rebelscum reader Jason just got his TIE mini-LEGO set from the Star Wars Insider. While the Star Wars.com/LEGO.com mini-TIE promotion shipped out a week or two ago, this is the first we've heard about the Insider TIEs arriving.
And speaking of the Star Wars Insider, reader Agent 1177 found "Star Wars Insider #65, bagged with a free Star Wars Galaxies poster and sporting a CG Vader cover" in his mailbox. Subscribers should be on the lookout!
Update: Vic from the Fan Club was kind enough to send in a quick clarification on the Galaxies poster mentioned above... "To be clear, it's not a Star Wars Galaxies poster - it's a map of the Star Wars Galaxy. While it does draw specific attention to the planets in Galaxies, it's also a good general reference, especially for Expanded Universe fiction."
